The Just and Reid families are descendants of Morrisites, so have a keen interest in the history of that group. The Morrisites broke away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1860. The resulting church was called the Church of the Firstborn, and its followers were collectively called Morrisites, after their leader Joseph Morris (left).
